How the solver works
Green letters must appear in the given position, yellow letters must appear somewhere else, and gray letters are excluded. Repeated letters are handled exactly — a gray letter can still appear if another copy is already confirmed.
"Best next guesses" are ranked by expected information: the guess that splits the remaining candidates into the most even groups is shown first.
Example
Suppose your first guess was SLATE and the tiles came back gray, yellow, yellow, gray, green. Add that guess, click the tiles to match the colours, and the solver filters the answer list to the words that could still be the answer — then ranks the guesses that would narrow it down fastest.
